9 Meditating with Our Body
What does it feel like to have a natural, meditative relationship with our body?
🧘 In this episode, we transition from structured practice to experiencing a natural, conversational relationship with our bodies through a soothing guided meditation by Sister Chan Khong. By grounding ourselves in the first four steps of the Full Awareness of Breathing, we move beyond mechanical technique to a space of unconditional love, where we learn to soothe our bodies with active kindness and gentleness. This session encourages a sense of playful curiosity, inviting you to explore the "true home" within your physical self and feel the dynamic flow of life as it moves between your body and the world around you. By the end, you will discover that just "being" in the moment is not only restful and healing but serves as the foundation for manifesting your true self in every relationship and daily interaction.

Meditating with Our Body
This meditation will begin with Sister Chan's mediation. Her meditation does not end with a bell so I will mindfully ring the bell to continue her established focus on the body.
Notice her cadence is more conversational with herself. Also, when she feels it's right, she pauses and let's herself mindfully breath which creates mindful energy from which she loves herself. She soothes her body with kindness and gentleness.
She speaks of offering her body love. She is rooted in an unconditional, loving relationship with herself.
She beings with mindful breathing before she mindfully listens to her body with gentleness.
Meditation opens us to a beautiful relationship with ourselves. It is interactive and dynamic. Just Being in the moment is peaceful, joyful, restful and healing. Thay says it's our true home. We get to know and discover who we are then we intentionally manifest ourselves in our daily lives, in our relationships and with the living world. As we touch our true self, we touch the true self of everything. Â
Let's Experience Mediating with our Body
I encourage you to 'play' and 'explore' with the peace and contentment you are once Sister Chan Khong's meditation has concluded. Spend time BEing with your breathe, BEing with different parts of our body, BEing with both breathe and body, letting go and letting the peace flow into your mind and thoughts. You can also feel the life you are and let yourself 'feel' the life around you. Let them meld together. Breathing in: I invite the life around me to flow in. Breathing out: I let the life within this body flow out to life around me. Explore with your breathe's IN and Out. This helps keeps us grounded in the moment, to what is happening right here and now. Be Playful. Be Inquisitive. BE as a child in wonderment of life.
For a longer meditation, you can set the Plum Village app's mediation timer for 18 minutes with one bell. Then start it at the same time as Sister Chan Khong's meditation. Â
Enjoy. : )
