Mindfully Breathing with Flowering Smiles is our podcast. The podcast follows the steps presented on this site as we step through the Full Discourse on Breathing. Like each step on the website, each episode has a further explanation and examples of Thay's message and ends with a meditation. The purpose of the meditation is to experience the episode's topic. We intellectualize the topic then we want to experience the topic. Many times when we are first learning, our definitions and our experiences don't quite match up. The peace and joy of emptiness, signlessness and aimlessness are three great examples. We can learn the definitions of interbeing and how to frame our thinking to see the relationships, but how does interbeing feel!? What is like to experience interbeing? Experiencing is invaluable as it deepens our understanding, transforms our suffering and our awareness of self and others, intrinsically motivates us to sit and it is a wonderment to be thankful for and to enjoy.
