Flowering Smiles Sangha has several manifestations, just like water. Just as a cloud can be found in your tea, TNH's Mindfulness can be taught outside of the sangha. If you're in Fort Wayne, IN, please stop by and join us. Dates are shown in the calendar.
Together we dharma share and reflect together. celebrating everyone's journey to the present moment. I'll present a topic from the Buddha's Discourse on Breathing and share of it's importance in one's journey. When available, I'll share a TNH - Miguel Sanchez video so we continue to be grounded in Thay's words. We conclude with a guided meditation so we have an opportunity to experience the day's topic.
The guided meditation is Thay's Calm-Ease mediation with sometimes additional gathas added, but his meditation is always at the core. Doing the same meditation has many purposes:
Participants will have done it enough that when they are alone and need to meditate, they'll feel comfortable justing winging it. : ) - That makes me happy.
Repeating the meditation while our awareness grows from previous sits and reflections, participants will grow deeper into their present moment awareness.
Thay's meditation beautifully and easily covers the first half the Buddha's discourse. And when we sit longer with it, we'll see that it covers even more of the discourse.
We meet every other Thursday from 6:45 until 7:45pm.
